Friendly staff
Nice shop, nice coffee but the place has no soul. Its just like every coffee shop these days everything ridiculously priced. €3.20 for a small Americano, €3.50 on average for small cakes and muffins.
There was six dirty tables when I went to sit down, I sat at one because it was in the shade! (Veey hot day)
As much as I love coffee I am totally losing patience with places like this and their prices.
This is a chain coffee shop. There is nothing out of the ordinary about this coffee location to make it stand out, good or bad. We had a latte and hot chocolate on a blustery, rainy Cork day. Our drinks helped warm us up.
While we didn't eat anything on this occasion, we have in the past and the variety of sandwiches and pastries is good. There is lots of seating, inside and outside the coffee shop.
I will give top marks for cleanliness: When we arrived, 1 employee was serving and another cleaning. They never stopped working the entire time we were there and the girl cleaning was upturning tables and thoroughly washing the floor. Definitely impressive in comparison to a lot of places where the staff stand around chatting while dirty dishes accumulate.
This Insomnia has comfortable seating and is cool and airy - a good place after shopping in the area. The staff while pleasant do not appear coordinated or work as a team. Food was good.
